In the past few decades, students learned best when they had to interpret photographs, paintings, and other images in their classroom. When computers became available and new technology was provided, I would say that threw off the main idea of how things were taught decades ago. Images, until this day, are a great way of learning and implementing them in your daily lesson plan.
As a math teacher, having a tool of using images in my lessons is going to be a big advantage for me especially when it comes to teaching geometry. Students will learn best when I show pictures of pyramids, architecture, shapes, etc, and how they all relate to math. It will help visualize how people back in history were the greatest mathematicians. Images speak a thousand words and more. What makes it more interesting is the comments people leave on that image which reflects their true thoughts. And once comments are made, given the chance for others to reflect back gives a chance to begin very powerful conversations and maybe even discoveries that no one ever thought of. I will definitely be applying image tools to my classroom.

The Quiz and Poll tools would be very good to use in the classroom, for the students and for the teacher. The teacher could use this as a way to get to know her new students, their likes and dislikes, and how they feel about certain issues. The students could utilize these tools to use in the area of classroom citizenship, democratic values, etc.
The Video tools can be used in every classroom by both teachers and students. These are so valuable for the teacher to make their lessons come alive! I can see the video tools being used for every subject to inject and expand new material is exciting ways. Then there is the student use. The option of having these tools for the students to use to show what they have learned is wonderful. Again, anything that engages one's students in the subject matter and lets them develop their creativity is a great tool.
The Writing tools that I have researched excite me very much! I am surprised at the number of different site that are available to the classroom and individual as creative outlets. Not to mention the "how to" sites that give instructional information that can be used to help anyone that has need of it. One thing that I have learned is that our children really need to improve their writing skills and the more we can get them writing the better. These tools do that in fun and imaginative ways.
